If you are thinking of having your baby by caesarean birth, whether medically advised or through maternal choice, we can help you to understand everything that is involved and support you in a positive, relaxed and non-judgemental manner as you prepare for a  gentle and joyful caesarean birth experience. You may be surprised to learn that there are a number of things which you can request (and are usually easily facilitated by your medical care providers) to make this experience feel a little more like a birth and a little less like an operation. We can teach you some simple relaxation techniques to help you stay calm and confident on the day and help your partner to understand how they can support you through the process and afterwards as you recover and get to know your baby. We can help you to release any fear or anxiety and develop and positive and confident mindset.

VBAC & HBAC

At BirthSense our practitioners are also experienced in helping women who have already had a caesarean birth and would like to plan a VBAC or HBAC this time around. We can help you to understand the key issues and what you can do to improve your chances of success. We can’t give you medical advice but we can help you to explore all your options and provide a sounding board as you navigate your thoughts and feelings on your birth. Get in touch to find out more!
