At BirthSense we have extensive experience of helping women to write a truly useful birth plan. We believe that the power of a birth plan is twofold. Firstly, it forces you to research your options. After all, if you don’t know what your choices are then you don’t really have any! Secondly, it helps you to communicate your needs, preferences and wishes to your care providers so that they understand how they can facilitate the birth that’s right for you.

How can we help?

At BirthSense we can offer a one to one session with you (in person or via skype) to help you put together a plan (and even a plan b and a plan c)! We won’t ever tell you what you should put in your plan or give you medical advice. However, if you are giving birth in the UK, we can talk you through the kinds of things that are usually included, make sure you understand all your options, discuss the possible pros and cons of the available choices, make you aware of your rights and help you explore the policies of your local trust. For more information please get in touch!
