About HypnoBirthing®
What is HypnoBirthing® and how does it work?
HypnoBirthing® is a complete antenatal programme focussing on a combination of education, hypnotherapy, self-hypnosis & deep relaxation to help you achieve a more comfortable birth. HypnoBirthing® gives you all the tools you need to minimise the fear-tension-pain cycle, resulting in shorter, more comfortable births.
What are the benefits and what results do you have?
Clinical studies and anecdotal evidence agree that the use of hypnosis during labour shortens the first stage of labour, significantly reduces and even eliminates pain, reduces the need for medication, results in fewer interventions and surgical births, minimises fear during pregnancy, and leaves mothers and babies alert and energetic after birth.
We collect birth statistics from all our clients which (while being an imperfect system) gives us a good idea of the birth outcomes for BirthSense clients. The results are currently as follows:
- 55% have no pain relief during labour (national average is 6.5%)
- 31% have gas & air only
- 14% have an epidural (national average is 33%)
- 12% have an emergency c-section (national average is 25%)

The price depends on the format and location of the course. We're not a budget course but neither are we the most expensive in the region, and as the region's specialists we firmly believe in the quality of our course, our teaching and our practitioners' qualifications.
