About BirthSense

BirthSense is a collaborative group that shares the philosophy of normal, safe, gentle birth and bonded parenting. The group started in Cambridge in 2007, and quickly grew in popularity throughout East Anglia; we now have a HypnoBirthing practitioner in each of the East Anglian counties and in London, a HypnoFertility therapist, a midwife lactation consultant, two doulas, a baby massage instructor, cloth nappy agent and two Clinical Hypnotherapists specialising in fertility, pregnancy and birth.

We provide antenatal classes (HypnoBirthing and HypNatal), hypnosis CDs and MP3s , post-natal workshops, breastfeeding assistance, baby massage sessions and networking events. We campaign at local hospitals and maternity units to raise the profile of birth with hypnosis, and to bring the best level of care to our members.

Anyone taking our classes will have automatic membership to BirthSense, which gives you priority access to our range of exclusive services including ad hoc doulaing, post-natal breastfeeding workshops, networking events and more. With BirthSense, you won’t feel alone after the birth of your baby – we are working to provide you with a network of like-minded parents that you can feel at home with!
