About BirthSense^®

BirthSense^® is owned and managed by Callie Copeman-Bryant, birth doula, HypnoBirthing™ Practitioner, HypnoBirthing™ UK Board member, breastfeeding peer supporter and clinical hypnotherapist specialising in pregnancy and birth hypnosis. We are a collaborative group that shares the philosophy of normal, safe, gentle birth and bonded parenting. The group started in Cambridge in 2007, and quickly grew in popularity throughout the UK; we now have HypnoBirthing™ practitioners in London, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk, Essex & Hertfordshire, two HypnoFertility therapists, a midwife lactation consultant, Breastfeeding Peer Supporter, three doulas, a baby massage instructor, cloth nappy agent, a psychologist, psychotherapist and two Clinical Hypnotherapists specialising in fertility, pregnancy and birth.

We have taught over 800 people through our range of antenatal classes (HypnoBirthing, the BirthSense Antenatal Course and BirthSense HypnoCaesarean). We also aim to support self-hypnosis for the birth year with our BirthSense self-hypnosis MP3s, and provide support in the postnatal period with BabySense by BirthSense, breastfeeding assistance, and postnatal social groups. We campaign at local hospitals and maternity units to raise the profile of birth with hypnosis, and to bring the best level of care to our members. Our General Manager, Callie, is a member of the HypnoBirthing UK Board, and is also a member of the Maternity Services Liaison Committee at the Rosie Maternity Hospital in Cambridge.

We arrange postnatal events so that with BirthSense you won’t feel alone after the birth of your baby – we are working to provide you with a network of like-minded parents that you can feel at home with!
